Being a parent is the most rewarding, yet challenging thing I have experienced.
It's wanting so badly to give them everything in life, but deep down knowing we can't have it all.
It's being confident and leading by example, while feeling insecure about your every move.
It's being understanding and helpful in situations you're facing for the first time with them, and without a clue on what to do.
It's controlling your emotions when you feel tapped out, so they know you are strong, even when all you feel is weak.
It's the ultimate test of focus, while fighting constant distractions.
It's letting them make a mess, even though you're dreading the clean up before they've even started.
It's putting another persons needs above your own, at all times, no matter how bad you need something.
But the way I see it,the more of a challenge something is, the more satisfying it is to overcome. And to overcome every little obstacle that being a parent brings, gives me a satisfaction and joy that is like no other.
Moments when I look at my daughter and wonder how its possible I created such a beautiful human inside of me.
How lucky she is to have parents who care about her more than anything else in this world.
Being a mom or dad to a little human, no matter how difficult life can be, gives you a reason to fight for the best life possible, every single day.
That doesn't mean being rich, and owning the nicest things.
It's having necessities supplied, providing support and nurturing them, and most of all, showing constant love.
It's knowing that this human you made, looks up to you above anyone else.
